we get up to 14 people at our mini-lans, held in someones lounge room normally, all from palmerston area...
we are looking to increase this number to 20 and use the Alpha PC's excellent LAN facilities (20 cubicles, running off wall-socketed 10/100 24port switch!) to hold palmerston lans!
the entry fee will be around "0 or maybe "5... there is also a kick ass pizza joint 2 shops down!
cool, we checked out alpha pcs, but we were scared by the non-freeness, and the little baby airconditioner [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/smilies/cwm41.gif]

Alpha's sounds cool, Need a pretty big lounge room for 20 people with computers, and not to mention the power consumption problem. Have u looked into hiring the ymca room near target.
Just a idea, you can fit a shitload of people in there.
I'm not in palmerston, but I have a house big enough for that. ^_^ I'll be hosting a small 'Suburbian' lan sometime. And lets face it. If you've loaded the PC up in the car, what the hell is the difference if it's in Palmerston or Darwin. ^_^
Cos it cost me $40 for p1 board and then i brought a p1 processor off him and he wouldn't even set the board to use the processor he reckons it would cost me another $30 to get it set im like blow that out your A$ and when i left telling everyone what a shit shop it was.. never been back there that was about 1 and half years ago
Yeah steve your lan Bloody well ruled dude. I never been in such a nice place as your house and if you have another lan there i would love to go and that chair we slept in where so nice i could of slept in them for hours on end [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/smile.gif] if we had them as chairs i think we would of spent most of our time sleeping then playing cs hehehe.. yeah steve your house rocks I will go to a LAN there anytime.. you just name a time...
I should check out the YMCA place cause it might be cheap....
but apart from those two options, people who live in palmerston who don't want to drive all the way into town, lets get together... even if we have shitty little LAN like 10 people or so, that is better than NOTHING isn't it?
We have had up to 16 people in Adam's house LAN gaming... it was fun... if we could do that every weekend we would all be much better at CS
alpha pc's can suck me i live 250 mts away and i see the guy alot and he is quite faggish :/ and overpriced [Blocked image] but other than that very nice facility [Blocked image]
