i recently upgraded from the piss-poor WinME to XP Pro. i am not really used to the whole multi user thing in XP so i have been having some trouble adjusting, however i am getting the hang of it slowly.
my question is this: i have two others that use this computer to play games, mainly BG2 and Unreal Tournament.
now i used the upgrade feature so i wouldn't have to get rid of everything that was already installed on my computer. i installed XP and started up. i gave myself Admin access and everybody else has limited user accounts.
i don't want everybody else in my family to be able to access my account all the time so i have been trying to give other accounts access to various programs, unfortunately i don't know what the hell i am doing... [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/frown.gif]
so if some kind sir could partake in giving me a step by step process to giving limited account users access to files without giving them admin access i would very much appreciate it [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/smile.gif]
Not sure how to do it myself, but try the help feature - XP's help system is very advanced and user friendly (mostly [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/tongue.gif] )
It helped me figure out file and print sharing as well as remote desktop.

sigh looks like i will take you up on that offer tn1....
make sure you log out of the first account before logging in to the second, not just switch accounts. specially if you were running the game - you try to run it twice, even XP will have kittens over it
