Hey there, looking for some input from people who are running XP and Telstra cable.
I am having a few issues with their wanky bigpond advance software, as it is the win2000 version they gave me (XP not supported as yet)
Not a huge issue, as when it happens (can't connect) all I have to do is release the ip on my nic and reboot and away we go, but if I can avoid doing this it would be good!
Can you set up a connection through XP like you can for ADSL? I have set these up before (ADSL) and it doesn't work in the same way (for cable), and I'm told it is because you can't use PPPOE, but the only place I can find that you could change from PPPOE it is the only thing in the drop down menu.
If any of you are using different software, what is it? Or lemme know how you set up the connection and I will be grateful.
