recently (last night) i formatted and after getting all/most my shit installed again my cs has faceraped itself & runs unbelievably crappily
i used to get 60fps & a good ping
now: 15fps & 200+ ping [Blocked image]
i have an nvidia gf2 mx 400

I'd hate to be the eyes in your head if the refresh rates at 15 [Blocked image]
With win2k ya need a patch that allows programs use the max refresh rate @ the set resolution.

no no dont think so. foxy got ir right on, ive had this problem so have yonks of others. turn vsync off, and ur problem will be fixed.

hmmmm ill give it a whirl but it always seems jumpy with vsync off...meh beggars cant be choosers
btw i got that previous 60fps with vsync on

Kill your vsync..
Ok right click your desktop and go thru the menu's till U get to your cards OGL settings.. U will find that by default U have vsync on, and that will then restrict U to your monitors refresh rate..
then in CSs console type fps_max 150 or so..
U should see it jump up after that..

agp drives (ie. for in ones for via)
i assume u got 60 with vsync on
AGP drivers make a wopping difference
