Ok heres one...
ive got a burner, plugged in, its been working for ages.... now, When i try to write a cd, it says it writes it successfully, but when I check the CD after, it says theres NO data on the cd, but theres minimal space left on the cd, compared to the 700meg before I use it...

Neo is this anything like the......Hey i will gove your CD back when i can open the CDROM, or I will play when i can get my system to start or why does my system keep rebooting....My suggestion, turn it into a fish tank and by a new system. Either that or seriously not to sure what it could be, errors are to numerous to pinpoint worst case scenario Burners are dirt cheep these days

Hey! I got that CD out [Blocked image] I'll get it back to ya Unseen. The comp works again too (I think?). And I don't really want to fork out $250 for another burner, especially seeing that Iam not sure if its the burner, or some software problem...

sounds vaguely similar to a situation i was having with cdrwin today. i would burn an image in it, and my dvdrom wouldn't read the cd. but the burner would, once i disabled cdrwins aspi drivers and reverted to the default, the dvdrom would read the cd fine. it may be something similar

Yeah I think that may be my problem. How would I go around disabling aspi ??

Post 6

neo try it in another computer.. there could be a stuff up in your system files.. If not and it still does not work in another computer.. ill offer $5 to smash it [Blocked image] BTW does it read normal cds?

Post 7

for cdrwin specifically there's an option for it in program.

otherwise just google search for adaptec aspi windows
i'm sure that will give results you will find helpful.

Installed ASPI drivers... still No luck
And yes, the CD-Writer can read Origonal CD's and CD's ive created before I had this problem...

I use Nero, always have. I found out if I do a simulation then burn, it'll work. But if I only burn, it'll screw up.
