Those of you on my Facebook friends list already know, and thanks for your messages of congratulations. For those that don't, I thought I'd make a quick announcement that on Tuesday night, I proposed to my girlfriend of almost 6 years. The proceeding 24 hours included 6 hours on the telephone between us, 1 kilo of raclette cheese, 5 bottles of Champagne, 5 bottles of wine and a fucking terrible dinner at C'est Bon for Bastille day last night. ;)

Neither of us are in a parenting frame of mind at the moment, Elle has another 3 years of study ahead of her. Right now we envisage starting a family in our early 30's - another 6 years away. That could change, but it'll likely be the second half of the decade before quasi-rec (or reccet) springs into existence.
