Doh, I won't be able to make it on the 6/7 (I can see a smile forming on Tn1's face already). I've got other commitments. Also making it the end of the holidays wouldn't be too good, koz of all the kiddies that have to go back to school monday/tuesday.

Post 3

ahhhh tn1 i got that ladys phone number for the bridge club gimmie a ring dude.

/tn1 hits ctrl + alt + del

Post 17

well, all things considered, i'm pretty sure i'd rather be hanging on a beach in port douglas then satisfying the file leeching needs of the lan community. after all, a beach full of topless chicks is way better then a hard drive full of them [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/wink.gif]

Post 18

I will be post more info about next LAN, tomorrow, but I need more people to show intested or its not one [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/frown.gif]. Should I create another Register page and limit it to 40 same as before ?

Mr.DGA

Post 21

ha ha

Post 22

i think a limit higher than 40 would be good, maybe 60? 65?

Post 23

Well unless they have like built a new 2nd story on the bridge club i really reckon we will be pushed to get more than 40 ppl and have room to move. [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/smilies/cwm12.gif] [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/smilies/cwm3.gif]
It could be possible just not the most smartest thing to be doing.

Post 24

The Bridge Club could very easily hold 60 people in comfort........
As yet, being an Ansett Employee in Darwin, I am still FREE TO FRAG. Still don't know what is happening with work here in the Territory, so SHIT YEAH !! COUNT ME IN....
As for Leeching Records well I grabbed 4 Movies three Applications a few Music vids and some MP3's. Out well about 30 Movies were copied from me from everyone. Not much if anything given back from some (You know who you are). The next Lan you will have to prove your self to get something.....

Post 25

I will be there with Pickles on....
Should be good... but i reckon if u actualy Told ppl like put a little card down where ppls Monitors go, so that they don't spread out to 3 desks with their cables [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/smile.gif], then u could fit at LEast 50 ppkl in the bridgclub, we had tons of room last time, and we weren't even packin in...

Burgers...

I know most of you have year 12 exams comming up soon, but when would you like another BIG LAN ... ?

Post 36

i would rather have time to do my exams and get into the uni i want than 'fuck' my exams....because of two reasons:

1. very messy.... [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/tongue.gif]
2. i don't want to end up a dole bludger...

30th is sorta the best date i can possibly think of...except the fact that a lot of the High school students will be wasted.... [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/biggrin.gif]

Post 37

shrug, i've got 5 exams sometime in the next month or two, ranging from elementary java programming through artificial intelligence, i'd welcome the distraction offered by another lan, provided it doesn't actually conflict with the exam itself. a lan's going to take what, maybe twenty four hours out of your life. generally, that'd be taken up by around 8-10 hours of sleep, and say around 16 hours of wakefulness. now you spend around 3 hours of that eating, waking up, showering, doing whatever, leaving around say, 13 hours optimally for study. five subjects. thats around 2 1/2 hours per subject. if thats the difference between passing and failing a class or whatever, well, thats the price you pay for being a dumbass.

in short, thats just meant to show a lan party isn't a huge slice out of a study timetable, for those of you who are actually dilligent enough to study.
thank you.

[i just read that again, it probably sounds harsher then its intended to be, i have nothing but respect for people who can be bothered studying and actually take schooling seriously. i just dont think it should be taken to the point of excluding recreational activities]

Post 38

Well I guess its easy for you with 5 computing subjects [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/tongue.gif] (Bludge) but for those with real subjects it may be more challenging [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/tongue.gif] *KoF*
Highlevel English
Highlevel Physics
Highlevel Chemistry
Maths
Spanish
ITGS

But hey, I do agree with you, if ya can't make 1 - 2 days free for a bitta fun, I dont think you've been studing at all [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/tongue.gif]

Post 39

I did my years of hard slog.
English studies, physics, chemistry, maths 1 and maths 2 in year 12. im entitled to bludge, mind you, its harder then you'd think motivating yourself to actually do assignment work for classes that are so tremendously boring, such as internet and database programming *yawn*.

thankfully, at least, writing a compiler is slightly more challenging and interesting, and hey, i even spent an hour or so working on it at #7

Post 40

bleh, at least you only have a three year course, mine goes for FOUR, NOOOOOOOOOO!
and thats if i manage not to fail anything

Post 41

My student number starts with 960 if thats any indication to you of how long i've been there [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/wink.gif]

but lets pretend i never said that.
