DGA # 13 - What did you think ?

Since howie was too lazy to start a topic about DGA # 13, i thought i would [Blocked image]

Personally I had a freaking great time [Blocked image] Got loads of ISOs (namely GTA3 :D ) and (DNC) cained in the clan wars [Blocked image]

no... not lazy, just tired, well I had a great time aswell, GTA3 was a hit, I love that game, also the SOF2 multiplayer was so much fun *touch wood* it will replace CS soon [Blocked image] ,
Well done to Mick for wining the "I Hate Campers" DGA Shirt, and to Terminator for his lucky door prize, 128mb RAM chip from Frontline IT Solutions. the whole weekend went of smoothly pizzas on time and the CS Comp ran find well done to Unseen for his help on that one. *your a Champ* .

yeah. a big hats off to everyone for diving headlong into soldier of fortune 2. good to see alternative games appearing and getting some attention. the dungeon siege games were rocking too.

Yes good turn out and great organising. My only problem was with a xp machine that needed reinstalling and a network I could not see.

I know a few ppl were getting pretty pissed off at being unable to see the network.

This has to be looked at for future lans if DGA is to survive.

I believe if people spend a bit of money on there NIC they will find they have no problems.. You cannot blame DGA for networking problems.. particularly when the person next to you is leeching pron and playing cs [Blocked image]

DHCP crashed but once that was figured it was ok.

The network was laided ok.

I was after feed back on the CS comp. Good timings? finished at 11:30 ish. Was the timings ok for start/finish. Were the maps ok? Normal info.

The LAN was great for me. on saturday leeched played all great. Sunday 20gig quantum cracked the shits and died. NO MORE computer for a bit

It was a good lan had a ball.. network was pretty good for me. Although I was asleep during prime leeching time

Funniest bit was when Termanaitor got all big selecting his porn and say ing he would delete it. Wortel goes for the delete button and Term panicked pressing every button to stop him. Ended up hitting the enter button and opening every single porn file.

No wonder u wanted me to leave ya house last night haha after talking to Figgy on your comp at 2 am in ya room, i should of guessed u would say something like that DAMNIT lol....least i didnt do anything else dumb that day =-))))

Was another great LAN run by Unseen, TN1 and the crew. All the -=SB=- guys had a good time, pity we couldn't stay longer.
Props to DNC for a good final, whipped us good. [Blocked image]

Only neg was no -=SB=- guy got pizza because Unseen was ordering in the middle of our clan match and had finished ordering by the time it had finished.. :(

and SOF2... beautiful. Its about time something other then CS was played with that amount of participation. And thanks to vorly for rocking up with his comp for a few hours.. and i WON.. ok only in deathmatch, but it still counts.

Sof2 multiplay rocks, and Gta3 is fantastic, Thanks for those all shared shared those games for all.

Next time i will have my 40gig back from warranty so i will be able to actually share some more stuff i have, The 6.4gig backup drive is just a wee to small for actually storing shit on it.

Great party when's cant wait for evo2 or dga 14.

Hey unseen i know how it feels man, had my 40gig die on me friday night, Stupid hard disk companies may actually make hard disks a little more reliable one day hey.

Not everyone can go out and just buy a replacment hard drive at the drop of a hat.

I had a great time and as far as I am concerned, there are always going to be a few hitches along the way. I thought the disruptions were minimal and the CS Comp was well organised. Look forward to the next one.

Poor Lataf, had nothing but problems.

Flammable wtf are you on about? I have the dodgiest NIC card on the market, it's over 2 years old and is rusting and think about how much crap peope leeched off me and it all ran fine, the problem is not a NIC problem, it is configuration problem which could be easily oercome if you let ME fix it ;P Lataf had his firewall up on his LAN connection which was why his was stuffer and Raker still had some of his firewall running in the processes.

The LAN was great and thanks to all the people that SHARE as thats how people obtain things, I think everyone should have access to other peopls computers as that gives more leeching for everyone

Will consider running an Edonkey server so that not one machine is simply getting smashed as there were three machines that I know of that got completely hammered

heh. yeah. i turned file sharing off for a couple hours so i could actually play games. im working on something slightly cooler then an edonkey server for the lan, will let people know if/when i think its ready for use.

i remember when xp first came out, and the lan we had after it came out, there was hardly any leeching, because nobody had enabled their guest accounts in XP haha

so if anyone has shit that they want to share out, but dont want to use THEIR machine to do it with, just move it to mine and go from there.

Colin, got some 75cm white rounded IDE ribbons, chuck an 80GB and a CD-ROM on each one, works sweet as now, started her up (after a few hassles) got some to download approx 30Gb of stuff and upload about 6GB and then I went into games, it dropped .5 frames per second ;)

My 140Gigs of disk space got a filling, plus i hopes everyone enjoyed Starwars2 and The One. It seemed alot of ppl grabbed it, especially while i was playin CS (my fault, if u dont want it leeched, dont share it).

Finally got a new Video card too, 99FPS w00t w00t. Should help me at EVO2 or DGA14....

SOF2 rocks, as does GTA3, thanks for that fellas.
