either way it's gonna be interesting to see the crazy dynamics of various people's character builds. And also it's a great break from WoW end game.

Myself, Heretic, Yoji and Synaps have all been playing the beta's, and was so impressed we pre-ordered.
Easily the most stable, bug free betas I've ever seen.
And it's quite a good game as well.

I understand that this game is going to be unique as it's going to run concurrently with a TV series that's airing on Sci-Fi (I think) channel. Shit that happens in the show will be appear in the game (i.e. a village getting wiped out) and shit that players do in the game might end up being written into the show. Trippy idea.
Unless I completely have my wires crossed and I just made that shit up.
At any rate will be keen to see how it works out, but alas fantasy genre MMOs aren't for me.

played in the last couple of BETA's could possibly be the game that gets me off WoW, if the next patch requires you to farm normal mode gear before heroics that is... Most of my guild thats going to play it are also going Briarcliff (PvP) as Defiant, Seems like the unofficial Aussie server from what i've heard.

Well .. launch day was a complete shambles.
Queue times on Briarcliff well over 5 hours at the lowest. Queue's of up to 2,200 people. Here's hoping it calms down in the coming weeks. A lot of US PVP groups have dubbed it their server... as well as it being the unofficial oceanic :/

Been playing it for a month now, and I dunno, the pvp is rather annoying sometimes, seems there's so many botters doing it there's just no challenge half the time, especially on Black Garden. I'm sure its different at lvl 50 but yeah, rather boring.
The rifts were a great thing to begin with, silverwood was nuts with them, just like I imagine freemarch was, but as I've levelled the rifts are becoming less and less. I heard that the amount of invasions and rifts are based on the number of players in that zone, so either scarwood is just a bad area that people avoid, or here aren't many players who have made it past level 30 or so.
The instances have been relatively fun, just really starting to feel like a grind atm trying to level, can't quite get a good levelling build on the cleric. Rogue is EZmode.

For this ive noticed that every 5 levels or so you start to feel the grind a bit... but at that point i go smash rifts for an hour till i lvl or smash a bunch of battle ground pvp quests in the main city and its all good again

Yeah I have seen people in my guild finish every quest in an area and still not high enough to go to the next one. Then I ask if they have PvP'd or Rifted and the answer is usually no. I have spent half as many quests in an area as by the achievment tracker. Still been hard leveling - but I seek out a rift if it is close and always in the PvP que at night.
Never once felt like a grind to level at all. On a 5 hour session last weekend I smashed from 32 to 38 in no time at all it felt like it.

leveling isnt a grind, but the fucking missions are. soloing some of the lower level ones are just fucking annoying - like that goblin one where you have to kill the 4 mini bosses outside argent glade - so many random critters nearby you're constantly pul;ling extra aggro.

Once you get a few more levels and progress through the tallent tree more you will find that a boss + a mob or two is easy.
I do member that quest was a bitch though... had to party up to complete.

didn't have to party up to do it myself, tho my rogue had to rely on my old Zone Travelling Ninja skills learnt in The Hollows area of City of Heroes - used to be nothing prepared you for skirting death more than that map :)
