I'm in - but on my non-GoogleApps email [email]dan.crane@gmail.com[/email] - ironically it seems that if you use GoogleApps and therefore may actually PAY Google for the service (like me) you can't get in - GoogleApps email addresses have no profiles ( Twitter ).
Make sure you have a google profile (http://profiles.google.com) and fill it out then let me know and I'll add you to a circle and you can cross your fingers...

After a day and a night of playing around, coming to terms with the offering, the verdict is: awesome.
Really clever ideas, cleverly implemented, and make for a really tidy, cohesive, powerful experience.
The Stream selection (Circles) for feed viewing, and the ability to choose which Circle (or combination of) sees your posts is simple and quite brilliant.
The persistent "Hangouts" that you can start and have friends join is really nifty, and the video quality is great. YouTube sharing while in video is really fantastic, as even if you start watching late, it syncs your viewing to theirs.
The interface is fantastic overall. Clean, minimal, pleasing. And super-easy to work with. Facebook is hugely cluttered and confusing, comparatively.
Now enable Google Apps support, you bastards.

ICQ was once lean, but blew out, and people moved to MSN. MSN quickly bloated, and people moved to Gtalk and/or Facebook messenger.
MySpace was once lean, then bloated, and everyone flocked to Facebook. Now Facebook is getting a bit heavy, and I'm loving the lean and powerful approach Google+ has taken.
When will someone break the cycle, and stop trying to "value add" when it's clearly not what we're after?
Hopefully Google+ can avoid the "bloat and bust" trend. Based on their track record, such as Gmail, I think it's possible they'll pull it off.

Ok im against all forms of internet social networking, it breads a horrible type of person into the world.
BUT as i am moving interstate (Brisbane) at the end of the year, i'm going to need some form of "staying connected" and im thinking this is probably going to be the least painful option, given Google's track record i think if anyone can do it right these guys may just pull it off.

Times, they are a changin' dude. In a society which is almost exponentially changing, you really have to adapt quickly. Either that, or you can just be an angry old man in your 20s/30s. I work with a dude who wears women's jeans. They look ridiculous. But fortunately for me, I don't let that affect my life. I guess I just don't have pant-anger. Lucky me.
PS. I have ALWAYS had trouble finding jeans to fit me. If I can get my legs in them, they're always 6-8" too long. I have adapted this amazing technique I call "rolling them up".
