Oh what the f*ck... that is all kinds of strange. The scenario, the music, the squid... I feel weird in a way I never have before.

Post 3

Post 4

I don't know if that's better or worse. So disturbed right now.

are you sure cos watching this one, its the poke that makes it move not the sauce.
plus it moves first by itself...

Positive. The squid would have been killed minutes before and cleaned etc. You notice in your vid he pours soy over it then pokes it. There's plenty of others on youtube.

What minorci said for both things.

Post 14

It is common for nerves to still have reactions after brain death. Frogs legs do the same thing when you put salt on them.

I remember when I was a kid we used to gut fish and pull out its beating heart.

It's all pretty gross to be honest....

(I just came back to this thread and realised Harb posted the frog's legs... derp!)

Derp is the new Doh!

The wife has just finished regurgitating and says she agrees....rofl...

Post 19

i find it fascinating, one of my main reasons for wanting to travel, especially to Asia, is for the crazy food.
I've wanted to try live octopus for years.

I'd be quiet happy just traveling the world eating crazy food :D
bout the only thing i cant stomach is capsicum.

Post 20

I love food. All kinds of food.

Eating a live animal is a bit much for me to stomach.

Post 21

I had peanut stuffed fried crickets in Vietnam, drank the cobra wine there as well (can be described as a bit snakey but palatable). I rekon after seeing these vids I would give it a go eatin a live squid or an occy, seems like an adventure ;)

Post 22

I'd eat fried crickets... I imagine it would be kind of like those tiny prawns you eat with the shells on in Spanish restaurants that have no meat in them anyway. Such a scam. ;)

But, I wouldn't eats crickets if they were ALIVE. :)

i would. assuming they are breed for eating, ie disease and toxin free, i read about a guy in the UK who eats nothing but live cockroaches, but he gets them all from a breeding factory that 'raises' them in a very specific way.
what i really want is to find a restaurant that sells penguin.

Post 24

I watched too much Pingu as a kid. Couldn't do it. :P

Post 25

Post 29

Dude i was bitten by a dolphin when i was 4years old at Monkey Mia, i have every right to want vengeance!

Post 30

You're a dolphin racist! :)

Post 31

Probably interesting to note with the squid, the brain is probably still there. Although still dead as the heart and everything else has been separated away already.

Enjoy you mercury poisoning

Apparently (well, according to 'The Cove') dolphin is often sold as whale meat as well ;)

Post 33

hey i just want to taste dolphin, id be happy with that, vengeance and curiosity sated.

yeah after watching the live squid sushi one its pretty obvious that its dead, or at the very least dying.

Post 34

one day we will find out that whales and dolphins are sentient creatures... maybe one day the dolphins will take over
all hail the new dolphin overlords :P

I actually used to have a pic of the bite mark, But about 18 years ago our house was burgled and all our personal effects where set on fire in the front yard including photo albums, my family has no photos of myself or my siblings from birth till 10years old.

I read that like a news presenter who tells you something shocking and then nonchalantly says, 'now heres Ollie with the weather'.

Hah. Without instant access to globalized knowledge someone who experienced this once upon a time might have considered it possesed, and started a fish religion. Sort of like that time Jesus "rose from the dead".

Post 45

jesus was a fish?

Post 46

Pretty sure. I see that fish symbol on heaps of Christian's cars.

Post 47

isnt that symbol just cos they can't draw a cross? (having to take the pen off the paper to do the crossbar is confuzzling)
