This sale is an odd one, I really don't know how long it will go for. Best place to follow the sale is on their facebook page.

I recently blocked them on facebook because they were seriously spamming like crazy. Some of the posts didn't even make sense. It's like kids are running it or something...

Nice, bought me the MX5500 Keyboard/mouse for $99. If I knew how long this was going for I woulda waited for my tax return and gotten G19 and G700 but I like my cordless keyboards :P

Do what I do: 4xRechargeable batteries, USB battery charger.
Batteries charge faster than the KB and mouse can use them When they do eventually go flat, they are right there on my desk
Post 12 Posted by Harbinger 2011-07-30 03:20:11 UTC
So apparently the deal will continue until it falls out of the top 5 bargains on ozbargain. This may or may not be accurate :P

Lol it's more practical for me and how I work at my desk. I'd much prefer a corded keyboard like the G19 but where I position my tower to my desk/keyboard area would create problems. Need over powers my want in this case :P

Post 20 Posted by RakeR 2011-08-05 13:46:34 UTC
Good find Harb.
Dan, why did you go the 518 over the G500?

I can see that, however one is a MX and the other is G.
Why did you buy? Price? or Specs?
Post 24 Posted by ResLo 2011-08-06 05:44:50 UTC
The MX518 is regarded as the best gaming mouse out there, although the G500 could well take this crown, however the bagn for buck is with the 518.
Post 25 Posted by OverDrive 2011-08-06 10:52:01 UTC
And I'm old fashioned. I use RSHIFT to run.
Post 26 Posted by mepm 2011-08-06 12:42:48 UTC
no g400's on there yet though, but they're only $49 anyway.

Using the new model mx518 today for work instead of the usual MSIE3.0, it feels a lot smoother (two large pads like the G-series mice) and there's less play in the buttons compared to the old mx518 (still using the old model at home). One thing I don't like is that the DPI buttons are more raised than the old ones, which will probably mean some accidental pressings of them (if they're set to be used).
Didn't like the G500, got rid of it. Had too much wank, awkward mouse wheel, buttons were just stupid, top of mouse skin surface probably wouldn't last three months and movement didn't feel 'right'.
G400, however, looks quite good. Will find an excuse to buy one at some stage. :p
