Wasnt me on the train, but was some of the darwin based drivers. 1 in hospital with fractured vertabra. Hope for a speedy recovery from him

Saw the photo's, that's gonna take a heap of time to repair the track and move the cars eh. Thankfully nobody was killed.
NT Stuart Highway likely to remain closed
i dont think I can remember seeing stuart highway closed before.
Road is expected to open tomorrow and around 3 weeks for the rail to be fixed.
I dont get a 3 week paid holiday though :( the Iron Ore train will still run i think to and from pine creek.
the stores will be low on everything for a while
