Well lets see...

o yea cant connect to cs.
And I dont know why. I use gamespy and server query. I clicked on connect it goes through the motions like before. Makes out like its connectin... doesnt say anything is wrong.
But never actually connects.
I left it for half hour, my computer went on standby.
I thought my cs was corrupt so I tried to connect to a random server.
And I connected.
I just cant get into any of the IPS on my gamespy list.
Internode, Australias, Octa4 1 and 2.
It doesnt say anything at all .. I have no idea why I cant connect.

Does it actually start up CS ??

It sounds like U are talking too long to connect and the server is dropping U..

If it is a reasonably recent problem, try defragmenting your hard drive..

A badly fragmented HD takes a hell of a long time to call up all the data it needs.

And the server may be timing out waiting 4 U..

I had a car that if it made a funny noise you lifted the bonnet had a quick look (not knowing a thing about cars) and shut the bonnet hey presto car fixed. MB you com is the same way inclined.

SperO, I'm thinking the problem you had, was lag. The servers last night were terrible, adsl users were pinging in at around 260-300 so your ping would have been pretty bad and it was prbably losing too many packets
