Your isp should have given you a ftp address

something like ftp@username.isp.com.au

make sure you name your title page index.html

and hmm.. when you open your ftp address just copy all your page as if you were copying stuff across files

yeah i got a ftp address i just dont understand how u mean copy the files accross to it ?

Using a ftp client...bulletproof ftp and leap ftp and theres others out there.
Then you put in the address and connect using your user name and then Upload the files to the directory they give you...or you may automatically logon to your webspace when you login using the ftp client.
Its not too hard, trial and error. :)

Please correct me if im wrong...or give him better instructions.
If your lucky they may have a web interface for you to use.?? check that out. :D

Just assume that the ftp address that opens is a normal folder on your desktop called My Webpage
and you want to transfer your page into that folder

you cut and paste right?

thats uploading onto the ftp server hehe

the ISP is D2 or dot.com

we can tell you.... to upload its easy, and to make web pages get Dreamweaver.

the actual upload process is probably dependant a bit on the ISP cos it could be a different type of username.

go to your ISPs home page, and if its worth its salt, it will have n00b howtos on how to set up a web page. I know optus does.

d2 is slightly different then normal isps for webpage hosting (they're also my isp)

go to the d2 web page (www.d2.net.au) and click on accounts manager on the left, then enter your username and password, and there should be a section there called 'domains' you have to setup your webspace name (ie, your home page will be http://yourchoice.d2.net.au)

once that is done, you ftp into your web space, by connecting to webftp.yourchoice.d2.net.au
and the username you use is yourusername@webftp.yourchoice.d2.net.au the password should be the same as your dialin password. then you just upload your pages. presto.
