Hi guys,

I know a lot of you know about Telstra/Optus/wateva and their networks so I was wondering if you could tell me if a Japanese CDMA Phone could work on an Australian network? ie: get a jap phone connceted to Telstra or some provider. Thanks.

Depends on which frequencies it works at. There's three, US/Asia/Aust or 900/1800/1900 (i think thats the right order)
I dont know which countries fall under these other ones also. eg england.

You'll find that when they refer to Dual Band then its 1800/1900 asia/aust region. If its triband then it'll usually be US as well. So im sure that as long as its got a frequency that works with aust it'd be ok??

Hmmmm....actually just thought thats for normal mobiles....not sure about cdma.
