Is it a PCI card?, 100mps? cable?, Any Drivers?
I might consider it!
Same mate seeing as Im using one that is 10/T
huh???
Kids nowa days .. Dont know much :(
remember howard, if you're not going to bid, don't post. hypocrite.
i wanna know what danny g is talking about, 10/T???
lets see if i can interpret.
Danny wants to know the specifications of the card also (ie, is it 100mbit or 10mbit), as the card he has is currently 10 base-T (10mbit)
Who cares its a "00 network card for $40

So? That doesn't automatically make it good value - especially if very similar products are available new at $20.
Here's the card ($71.50 at Eyo):

Now, it appears the only intrinsic advantage the Intel PRO 100 offers is an inbuilt security encryption chip. While this would be pretty good if you're expecting lots of people to be trying to tap into your Ethernet with packet sniffers and wotnot, I'm questioning its worth for a home user.
Again, just because it retails (at some places) at "00, and is being sold for $40, doesn't automatically make it a great deal.
Darkwolf.
It is brand new and it is actually $20 not $40 like i wrote
and i would like to see anyone get a better network card for that price or cheaper,
Paladin got it right. I was interested in it and not bothered in searching for the details. 10/T is my short hand for 10 base T. I thought you guys would have got that but seeing that many of you are new to LANs you may never havce used them. It has a co-ax port even.
Still available?
PS Howie, you arent that much older than me. And kids dont rent units overlooking Gardens Golf Course on their own.
Yeah it is still 4 sale if you want it
it does not have a coax port in it though, just your standard cat5
Thats alright. No-one uses coax these days. I havent used it for years.
