my comp is so fucked :(
everytime i play cs or d2 it lags like hell but everything else is working nromal. is it something wrong with the video card? or CPU? my machine is:
p3 866
384 sdram
32ddr geoforce pro
ms-6337 lite
if there is something wrong with the video card, what video card should i buy? i think i can afford around $200~$300.
Those are better specs than mine jpe, and i get a good 50 fps on 1024x768. Is it a lag problem? ie your net connection? what is your rate, and cl_dmrate (?) at?
Maybe a re-install of cs is in order?
my internet connection is cable (telstra) and the lag started on friday morning. and normally i get about 80+ fps on 1024x768
check ur cmd_updaterate, cl_updaterate
ive noticed that, while im optus cable, telstra is being laggy lately.
how long u had the graphics card for? is it new?
might not be suitable for ur processor
Umm....
FPS != Latency. They are two totally different things.
So what's happening? Has your FPS dropped from what it used to be, or has your latency suddenly gone up? Which one?
Poor FPS can only really be attributed to your hardware. Poor latency is more likely a network problem, or your settings being incorrect.
