i was trying to play some games the other day but my stupid graphics card can bearly handle anything!!! its a 8mb s3 savage one. But anyway i need a new one and mom and dad won't buy me a new one even if i pay half. Is there anyway to get around this problem or do i just have to put up with it, or i could be getting a nvidia g4 for christmas but we'll have to see.

forget about games, and go live real life until you can get an upgrade. or play solitaire, possibly turn based strategy games that don't require constant screen updates.

just kidding. Geforce2 cards are now cheap as chips.
You can pick up a 64MB MX400 gf2 (w/ TV out) for arounf $80-95 these days. So there is no excuse why u cant upgrade.

pick up a 2nd hand geforce 3 for not to bad a price. Might help u out for a bit longer

Dude, two things.
1) In Australia, your Mother is generally called "Mum" (note the capital), not "mom"
2) Get a paper round or save your pocket money, and as previously said you can get a new card for under a hundred bucks. That's about a month of hard work for a 10 year old, so if you want it bad enough, you can easily get it by christmas.
And as a side note, there will _always_ be games that chug your system. Try playing BF1942 with a 400% spawn setting (even with a 1500+ processor and 512 MB of RAM, my system can't cope!)
