Ok, quickly. This is my current PC:

PIII 800
512 SD ram [133]
Motherboard [AGP 4x, 3 SD133 dimm's, 5 PCI, S370]
SB Live! DE
AGP TNT2 M64
Case w/fans
Volcano 7+
Monitor
KB/Mouse

Can someone reasonably price this to probably sell to some civilian in the Darwin area?

Post 2

What size is the monitor, and how old is it?

Otherwise, a wild guess would be $700-$800.

Post 3

ok yeah maybe that much that xaine said
but a gamer proberly wouldnt pay that much
why u wanting to sell u just got it all up ang going?
but not a bad computer for word processing :P

Post 4

im using my pro skill to say $3.50
ill buy for that much :D

no seriously pro "000 or so

Post 5

xaine is pretty close on the mark.

Your best bet would be to sell the comp to somebody that knows NOTHING about computers. This way they dont know what they want, or people that do know about computers they can use it as a server or something similar.

Hey, Knight - you want to buy a computer?

Post 7

damm you xanie i was gonna say something like that well not really :D

Post 8

:P Wicked. Oh btw, cant be bothered editing above post - I show you recently updated system:

PIII 800
512 SD ram [133]
Motherboard [AGP 4x, 3 SD133 dimm's, 5 PCI, S370]
SB Live! DE
AGP TNT2 M64
Case w/fans [This case is the black Eagle something one in Frontline with the two side fans [cost "50]]
Volcano 7+
Monitor
KB/Mouse
15" screen supports up to 1280x960
48x40x12x MSI burner
Floppy drive

Post 9

dont forget how much sdram cost new these days, that would be the biggest selling point. But still ~ $800 to a gammer (who could then put in a GF4 in it and make it a serious gameing mashine) and who knowes how much to a non gamer

Post 10

I'd be saying the higher end of Xaine's pricing although it might be worth bumping up a little as PC133's a little pricey these days.

As for selling to people who don't know anything about computers. Have a try at the NTU Computer Science department :P

Post 11

512M SDRAM = "24 (CWS).

It's DDR that's the pricey one.

Given your revised specs, I guestimate $860. If you can get $900 from a non - computer literate person, great.

But realistically, be happy with $800.

Post 12

Trading post .. sell it to somebody with little or no computer knowledge

Post 13

oi theres another post on the trading forums, his looking to buy a comp, offer it to him...?

Post 14

From looking at all that and comparing it to prices in swap meets
i'd say min 650 and max 1000
