I wanna change my Audigy IDE cable to a round cable will a normal IDE cable do fine or is there a speical one i need?

Trying to round it yourself might be your cheapest bet. (don't stuff up the cord too soon though)

i rounded a old IDE cable of mine LOL
it worked fine looked a bit dodgy tho hahahah

Drevil - if you have a look at the plug, you'll see it's not a standard IDE cable. Either try rounding it yourself, or you might want to try what I've done.
I've got the card in the last PCI slot, and so I have run the cable underneath the motherboard, with it coming out at the top of the motherboard, and then into the Drive bay adapter.
I'll show you what I mean at the next LAN.

yeah ill have to have a look how u keep ya case so tidy too
i tryed cleaning mine up one time but it never got a sexy as u'r case xaine

LOL thats the same as me, i have mine in the bottom slot and run the cable along the bottom of the case and then up the side of the drive bays until it reaches the audigy drive then it threads through the maze of other cable onto the drive :)

cool casue i just changed all my other IDE cables to Round UV ones and wasnt sure if the Audigy one was diffent one or not i'll come see you at next LAN to show me what you did

Rounded cables are crap. Well in my experience they dont last. i baught 2 a while back and they gave my cdrom and hard drive fuck ups after about 2 weeks of use. I dont recomned them :|

im running 6 ide devices off 4 rounded cables, no problems at all.
