I saw a site a while ago that had screenies of 3dmark, although they were erm, 'tweaked' () using the HL speed hack thingy-whatsit.

He got 60000 for the top score, and 4 marks for the low score.

But i'd say you hold the record for the lowest unaltered score.

Congratulations

Post 5

i would like to thank my parents, and my mum and dad, and my dog........
:D :D

Actually, I've seen a 220 (Celeron 300MHz, nVidia Riva TNT, 64MB SDRAM)

And if I wanted to, I could switch my machine over to using MesaGL indirect (Software OpenGL implementation) and see how things go with my proc doing all the work.

But I gotta give you credit for one thing - anyone else who got such a score wouldn't be showing it off.

Post 7

Notice how we can't see the taskbar with Photoshop minimised?

I often wonder how people can get scores these high - I simply won't believe it till I see a "compare" link.

Post 8

i would run it again, but i dont have all day ;)

i could do a compare link too, cos i have an account with madonion ;)

and a tnt2? thats should blow that score area...

3dmark.. is direct3d.

Post 10

Ah, but if I use WineX, then those direct3d function calls get translated to OpenGL.

Post 11

thats performance for you!!! 8)

Post 12

I'd like to see Windows try to do the same thing.:lol::lol:

Post 13

why? we got directx.
no need for translation.

Post 14

I was talking about the "CPU emulating a GPU as well as doing its part" component.

Post 15

why would i want to do that though.

Celeron 500
128pc 100
tnt1
slot board

i got pretty DAMN LOW!!! i don't remember exactly

Post 20

Lowest i have seen was a 0

POS compaq k6-500
onboard trident blade 8mb shared
312mb ram

the low detail car chase got about 2-3 frames in the good bits...
the high detail just crashed the comp :P
even in 640x480 :P

Post 21

it must complete the benchmark! or it doesnt count ;)

My 1.8ghz gets 800 marks in 2000. It's a shitbox and is going back as soon as I phone the guy.
