I don't have any wireless models in stock. I may be stocking this new item available from PCRange in the new year. I will test and see how good (security etc) the item is first.

Can you let me know the sort of security measures that come with the wireless model? im interested, but if just anyone can sit on my front lawn and rack up downloads on my account, ill settle for cables all over the house =P can i limit the users the router lets through? or the ip's or something? thanks

You should be able to limit acccess to certain MAC addresses and also by changing the SSID or whatever it is to something other than the default/not generic . If you're paranoid you can also not use a DHCP server and/or move your network to a different IP range to make things harder for the average Joe.

Yes I have 1 modem left instock and 4 more arriving mon/tues.
No stock of the wireless/modem/router yet.
Enabling WEP and MAC filtering and disabling SSID broadcasting will ensure MOST people keep driving - unless you really have something of interest. Changing IP address range won't do too much for security.

I meant as far as just hopping on the network.. If you don't have DHCP enabled then people can't just hop on and they need to guess your IP range first. No it won't stop the determined user as they'll just sniff away.
If you really don't want people to sit out on your front lawn and surf then minimize the risk.. place the AP further back into the house in a more central location - minimize signal 'leakage', etc.
