I bet if u went with any nvidia card and ddr ram u would get triple that purely cos its not a "crap"(not my words) 3dfx card and "crap"(not my words) sdram
I think the highest i got was about 3500 with a voodoo 5 5500 which isnt bad for nvidia mark 2001

wtf in my onld comp which was a
p3 600
128mb sd ram
8 mb voodoo 3 2000
and a slower hs then yours I got about 2400
and on my new comp which is a
athlon xp 2000+
480mb ddr ram
32mb nforce
i get about the same :(

Are you sure u didnt run 3dmark 2000 on the first comp and 2001 on the second?

nope in 3dmark 2000 i get about 4000 for both comps :(. So they are basically the same with the 2001 second edition

Try chucking the voodoo in ur new comp and u'd probably get more (although for it to work properly u'd have to format and install windows fresh after the voodoo is in). Also i would think that alot of it would depend on how much crap u've got on ur HDD.

well new comp has nothing. Altough even though the voodoo 3 is onboard for old comp if it wasn't i don't see the point in putting an 8mb voodoo 3 instead of a 32mb nforce. 8mb isn't much and is one reason why i was forces to play cs for ages :(. Altoughnow i an addicted to it i will still play it :)

Thats why you allocate system RAM to ur video card (should be double your cards memory and half your system memory, but doesnt have to be). Also on board graphics aren't all that great you know :)

people should get the abit gf4 Ti4200 instead of other 4200 as it comes overclocked and is nearly as good as the 4600 but at the price of a 4200
