why do people bother to cheat nowa days ... lazy maybe ?

Why cheat? Simple.

High TER requirements for courses coupled with parental expectations that students will achieve. However, most parents fail to take into account that school is FAR harder today then it was when they did it, and that there are other avenues for those who don't preform in school. A lack of preformance in school is not a death sentence.

I can see why VCE students would be tempted to cheat, it determines (to an extent) what will happen in the rest of their lives, what degree they can do etc.

I study hard for my UAI, but i can certainly say that i would be tempted if the cheat's were put in front of my nose, could 100% say i wouldn't use em, but it's VERY tempting.

But meh, those kids deserve being caught, wonder what will happen now. Void/Repeat

You wouldn't believe the number of people who cheat in TAFE and uni. In my TAFE class alone, probably 80% of the people cheat in most if not all exams. Personally i think there is something wrong if they need to cheat in an exam for subjects like VB, cobol, java, C, hell they even cheated for accounting and small business. They all got caught for cheating in cobol yet they couldn't punish them by failing them because it could go to court. Just fucking ridiculous and worst still the teachers dont have multiple tests to rotate, they use the same test for multiple years and in some cases the test has even been on the campus network :roll:

I think cheating is getting an unfair advantage over the rest of the students attempting the actual exam.

For example. Near the end of my java module for Uni, somone took the whole book of java into the exam even though this was a closed book exam. Please someone exsplain that to me.

Anywa, you will mostly find later on in life the cheaters are slowly worked out of the system and the guys who spend the nights studying 24/7 are their fixing there fucks up.

But in a world that everone says is logical, i find it very strange how these things can easly slip though the system without being noticed.

But saying that many private schhools doctor results but letting dumbshits not sit the GAT. This means that schools results will not be reviewed despite the fact student A has taken their assignment to the teacher 30 million times.

bullshit school is harder now. try doing your maths with a slide rule instead of a snazzy graphical calculator. try actually maintaining some sort of discipline in class. hell, teachers are encouraged to give good grades now because it makes the school look good. mediocrity is encouraged by todays schools and the schoolroom environment. bleah.

i wouldn't be stupid enough to even attempt to cheat i mean if 8 ppl in the school knew all the answers and spread it thats just stupid becoz they where bound to get caught :lol:

im with Paladin.. it was harder then.. but im thinking more from the point of the exams being worth 75%-100% of the course marks, whereas now days, the average is 50% and maths with only a rule would seriously screw me up! omg.. im so happy im doing it now, rather than when my parents did.. hehe
