Need one of these for a friends Acer Veriton which only has a slim exit hole in the case front for DVD's.
It has to be IDE/PATA connector on the back and the eject button on the left (button placement is not critical).
I tried buying one on eBay and found one from the UK he could afford. Then when it arrived I found it was a SATA Drive. NOT what I paid 99c plus a ton of postage for.
The drive it is replacing is a Sony AD-7640A (12.7mm) and it is from an Acer Veriton L460. This drive was also used in some Dell laptops of the same era.
The type of front cover doesn't matter as it will be covered up by the Veritons' front panel.
