[Attachment 6637]A couple of months ago, about the time of relaunch, I was thinking "I'd love a GU shirt". I remembered seeing a certain store many moons ago that would let me create designs for clothing, and sell them without much trouble on my behalf - but for the life of me couldn't remember where. Today Brookie reminded me; it was Cafe Press...

It has also occurred to me that even now we're receiving financial donations from some of you, which is most appreciated, but I thought that having some tangible in return would be nice. So, I've throw up a new Cafe Press store - where you can spend money on GU, and get something back for it straight away. We'll receive as much as 50% of the sale price from all products, which include shirts, hoodies, mugs, stickers, coasters and even a stein.

If anyone has any specific requests for designs let me know and I'll get it whipped up so you can purchase it.

Without further adieu: Gamers-Underground.com Store

Awesome idea dude.

What are the limitations in printing specific game characters; in regards to copyright infringement?

I'll have to look further into the legalities. But at very least we couldn't use copyrighted artwork or trademarked IP. But I'd hope that ingame screenshot cuts, just like on the website itself might be ok.

I don't think you can. I'm pretty sure they'll ping you no matter what. That's why they always mention "character and likeness" in copyright spiels.

Most company's give out fan-site packs and encourage people to use the artwork on everything and anything as any free advertising is good.

There's a big difference between that and making profit from it. I assure you they won't be happy with it. If you're giving it away, it's fine most of the time.

all my gift ideas have been answered, for ever

Post 8

I'll post some pics of my stuff when it arrives.

And on that note, I'll be starting a competition relatively soon revolving around interesting photos wearing GU gear. The winner will receive a Nvidia 3D Vision kit and Samsung 23" 3D monitor.

Of course, to be eligible, you'll need a camera and to have purchased some clothes, and thus contributed to the upkeep of GU. Oh, and some location ideas.

Great idea! We were thinking about doing it for the guys I work for too, coz it's so much cheaper than printing locally and it's on demand too. Can you make some v-necks or singlets available for us chick gamers? :)

Also, zazzle.com is another DIY t-shirt/merchandise store thing. I know there's a bunch more out there, but zazzle and cafepress seem to be the biggest. Might be worth comparing profit margins and the like. I've ordered from both before if you wanna know about quality.

Prize for first to post their gear ???? hmmmm ????

Quality of the Golf Shirt is good, although the picture doesn't show just how light the "GAMERS-UNDERGROUND.COM" is.

Hah! Great stuff. :)

How's the quality of the shirt, and the print on the shirt? Mine still hasn't arrived.

For a Polo its not the cotton weave that I would expect (or normally buy) if that makes sense to anybody. The fit is really good though I must say. It's 100% cotton pre-shrunk according to the label and the weight of the fabric is good (despite it not being what I expected), more of a heavier fine cotton weave that you would expect in a T-Shirt than polo.

I'm really happy with it except, as I said above, the yellow text on white looks faded. The logo itself is good. The shirt itself overall looks great, not too in your face, nicely understated.

That mug is horrible! The coffee receptacle on the other hand looks cool.

Yes "Mr Kettle", I know we've met before. Sincerely "Mr Pot".

Post 26

Post 27

I just received mine too! I got the black shirt with purple logo. Medium fits well...

poser

Post 29

X-large fits me perfectly - semi-slim build (marginal beer gut), 6'5" - enough length left over to not show skin when doing the obligatory retrieving shit from the top shelf in supermarkets for people thing...

Post 30

what about the bottom shelf?

Post 31

fuck that, i make short people get that shit for me - fair's fair.

Post 32

I like the size of the logo on the T-Shirts but the yellow on black reminds me too much of a Batmand T-Shirt I wore for years, so Blue on Black for me.
