Capcom have dished out a ton of details regarding a few of their upcoming titles overnight. This includes Dead Rising 2, with a neat cinematic trailer and the news that we'll be able to bash, slash and lawn-mower zombies, together! The concept will revolve around an "in-game transceiver to call for assistance at any time" - basically a neat way to match-make or invite friends seamlessly. The game lands August 31 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Looks like it could be fun.

Woot, coop would be perfect for dead rising's gameplay. If it's anything like the first one, the number of zombies you need to carve through is insane.

Post 4

I'll buy it just for co-op. I'm so stoked that co-op is making a come-back. It seemed dead for quite a while.

Trouble with the original dead space was that it just kept throwing zombies at you left right and center. After a bit of time you just get bored of them. They use old gimic scare tactics so often that it just loses it effect on the player.

In essence, I just kept killing my character just to see how many different ways he could die. I never felt any attachment to the player character nor his beloved wife that kept calling out to him. Though it was fun to blast zombie after zombie in the first couple of hours. After that you had no main story line to fall back on or any reason to finish the game.

And yah, completly miss the point. This is Dead Rising 2 not dead space. Oh well leave this here for the wonders of google bots to archieve for all of human history.

Hrm. $40USD. They aren't following the price gouging trend. Excellent.

Post 16

Haha excellent - glad to hear it.
Will get some co-op going this week :)

Post 17

only 2 player coop, 4 player versus.

Post 18

Hrm, I'm sure I read somewhere it supported up to 8 player free-roam. But that may have been something a modder is working on.

Post 19

or like the 'multiplayer' in Prototype... devs said it would happen then, oh look, not in release 'maybe one day'

Right, so get the Games for Windows live (multi) shizz fixed up before you start playing or it messes with your saved games.

Post 21

I already had GFWL installed for Dirt2 so i was already set.

I've played it a little bit so far and it's loads of fun. Only problem is my system is a bit underspec and it's noticable when theres heaps of zombies on screen.

FFFUUUUUUU that was the most fucked thing about FlatOut 3 :(

Post 23

Note to self: GFWL never again.

Although I did notice that they have borderlands for "2.50 atm

Post 24

needs a fucking screenshot key!

Post 25

So persisting through the intermittently 2 minute long loading times, and random lockups. I get killed and find out about the save game feature, i.e go find a savepoint or you're fucked.

So very angry.

Do they have as "2.50 or so many MS points so you have to buy $20 worth of points in a block so you have the "2.50 worth to buy borderlands.

Man you're shit isn't liking it hey :p
My levels load in under 10s; and havent had a single issue as yet - apart from being unable to Co-Op from the same IP.

After ironing out the issues with my system, which i'm still not sure how.

The game is actually quite a lot of fun.

Post 29

Yeah the game itself is fun; but it does get monotonous. Without the combo weapons I could see it getting boring.
There's still a few combo's I haven't made yet - but can't wait to.

Also; if you do co-op, your cash and XP saves to your story character - just not your story progression.
I'm level 22 now, so if you want some help on boss levels just sing out.
