Hello guys, as most of you know I love the movie Black Hawk Down. I noticed an Interview with the CIS Crew (Conflict in Somalia). CIS is a mod for BF1942, i think most of you still remember this game :)
Quote from GameVictims: GameVictims: In the mod you plan to accurately portray the weapons each side used. How will you compensate for Somalia’s lack of weaponry compared to the US troops? Eric: Well they start off in the city/villages; they already have a advantage there, defense. Another balancing issue is speed; the Somalians don’t have as much gear on as the US so they are faster and more agile.
This is one of two Bf1942 mods I am keeping an eye out for :) the other is Desert Combat, The Judge and I have played this a few times, Its still Alpha, but theres nothing like flying a F18 over the emenys base and dropping everything I have and blowing the crap out of the Judge :p
oh and can you say Apache ... :D [Image: http://www.bfcentral.com/news/pics/apachecpt_01_full.jpg]
Yeah desert combat kicks major phat bootie for an alpha, obviously theres still alot of changes but the planes are cool, especially the A10 with its vulcan cannon. *drools* also the su27's (axis) planes are nice and manuverable. played it at a lan last weekend. definately keep an eye on this one.
yea its a lot of fun, but the only problem is the Apache is very buggy, took me 20 minutes to fly the chopper to the other village, The Judge was driving his tank through the canyons, and i was sitting on top the the hill hiding, then waited for him to drive pass, took off and flew in behind him followed for a while, and then fired and killed him. haha its was as awesome feeling. very buggy but worth it.
