While the most recent CS tourney run at Evo 3 was one of the best that had been run, all of you complaining can rest assured that the proffessionalism will be stepped up even further in future events.
Many rules will be adopted from organisations such as the CPL & AusGamers League. Map lists will be set in conrete well before the LAN. The servers will not be running AdminMOD and will have force chase cam enabled and auto tk-punish OFF (the fact these match servers were running AdminMOD was probably the sadest part of all, to try and call it a "match" or "competition" with AM active is a joke in itself).
Aside from the general rules, there will be a DGA admin inside every match played, match throwing and anything of the sort will not be tolerated. Not only will you be disqualified from the tournament for attempting to do so, but banned from future competitions - It shows nothing except bad sportsman-like conduct and a lack of respect for the other teams and players competing.
Yes REC will be assisting me in organising things for future events. That coupled with the invaluable assistance of Unseen and TN1 will simply make for an even better improvement on the last event. So you can all winge about a different system.... :lol:
Without the assistance of Kurt for the general running around on the day...oops and Coco as well as TN1 and the servers we would have a hell of a time getting things up....
Excellent I know Rec has skills in this area (not taking anything away from, crazy, unseen and coco) but it'd be nice to see a nice hand from someone who has played/organised in the major events before.

Good Stuuf. AM was a complete joke. I agree throwing a match to gain advantage is unsportsmanlike. But having a system where advantage can be gain by throwing a match is bs.
And the tourny needs to go quicker. What was with the 3 play now 3 play later crap??
Wortel....SHUT UP...You know shit dude.....The comps took the time they did due to the sheer numbers involved and the networking issues at the time. And AM is not a Joke, agreed it wasn't utilised correctly on the day but who gives a toss now anyway...I am sick of this, if people cant say positive things for a change the craZyone is gonna turn into a real BIATCH. And that is not a pretty sight..................
:wink: Rec....ever the diplomat....Granted Admin Mod more than likely shouldn't be there. However there was a plan originally devised for this. It involved utilising Admin mod and one of it's many plugins that enables Admins to administer/setup/view/change from within a web browser. Had merits at the start. However with the limited assistance for TN1 setting up the servers etc it didn't eventuate. But as you said rest assured the next will be bigger and better
