ok guys i am so stoked to hear tehre is a DGA but when i just registered i looked at the date adn it said 29-30 march

its with ULC they have been organising there first lan for a while now and DGA (the big boys) have stepped in and put a LAN on the same weekend
i think its very rude guys cause 9 out of 10 my self included would love to go to dga over the uni lan
i feel that el and his ULC woudl be very upset and i hope u realise what u have done

nih........ the next week the school was booked out so i just had to do it on that date......soz but its done

i request a whole 5 hrs straight of DESERT COMBAT running through all mas and than all the coustom maps on the BM server :P

I looked at their webpage briefly.....but didnt notice any dates.
How does one find out about these LAN's?

I got a heads-up on this a few days ago. Now that DGA19 is announced, so to speak, I'll be announcing that the ULC LAN will consequently be put back about two weeks.

I was a little annoyed, but this is Howie's last LAN, so it's only fair we give him room to have a good time.

Anyway, it gives me more time to get everything just so. Organising LANs is a pain in the arse (ie, ghey). But we'll be back to rumble, baby, when the appointed day arrives. :)

I've just added a little blurb to the website.

Previously there has been a thread in the LAN General forum about the ULC LANs.

To Knight and El Presidente.....

Many attempts at contacting ULC were made as we needed to Confirm this date rather quickly. As there was no set date that we were aware of we went ahead. We did infact have some breif PM's over the matter all be it late into the event. Not to mention several message via differnt methods.
So no, DGA ( the BIG BOYS ) did not come stepping over people.
We needed to get a date set, we found our only available date...( TN1's LAST LAN ), attempted to contact ULC as no Definate Confirmed date could be found. And here we are now...
So lets leave it at that and make it a GREAT LAN so TN1 can wish he wasn't leaving...

I first heard noises from BrAiN DaNcE on the topic, and the next day I heard from DGA by PM. It's not like it was at the last minute, it was one and a half weeks out. All good.

Makes me think that we need a webmaster.

I was reading the DGA faq n stuff, just wondering. Will there be a UT2k3 and/or a Quake 3 server?

but ill have a look at getting a dedicated server up and running for ut and q3 if i can for the Bm server cause it dosnt get much of a work out
cs is usally played on the relm
bf usally dga server
bm server nuthing much :(

I really hope they do get played. Atleast UT2k3 anyway (coz ive been playing it a fair bit recently so I suck at Q3 now :x heh), I think we could have some fun with some Bombing Run games.

Actually although ive rarely played it, Freeze Tag(or is it Ufreeze) mod for Q3 could be fun too.

Edit: Oh yeah, whats BM stand for? heh:)

well i got algle workign on the ut2003 server now so we shoudl have it up and running
dood if u want a excelent game get bf1942 it kicks arse man
i hope to have a full server of people playign it at dga i think that woudl be a good sendoff for howie

also i knw a chick that would love to play u in q3

i admire how howie has kept the dga servers running the most up to date mods and i hope that when he goes someone picks up that job and keeps them running well
