i wanted to buy stuff cheap and they were gone...
that was a shock.. so much for down sotuh prices in darwin..

i was only saying that Alpha PC's looks to be no more.. and just wondering why..
my guess is it had something to do with "southern prices in darwin" while trying to keep a shopfront..
P-air can sell cheap, cause he doesn't have to pay employees or pay rent/power etc on a shop location
does anyone know any different? im interested

As a former employee of Alpha PC's i can say that the "Southern Prices In Darwin" sales pitch was not to blame for the closing of Alpha PCs.
in fact it rased sales.
The Price matching (or getting a better price) for the end user was genuine where i could make any money with an overnight airbag. And we all know customers like their paid products in their hands as soon as possible. If i could not match the brand wanted i would offer a substitute brand instead of the one requested that had the same or better quailty.
Instead it was due to the fact that the Financial backers desided to move interstate and discontinue their ownership. I was not informed of anything until i was fired. and i do not know why they went interstate in the firstplace. Due to this i am forced to find another employer and i mite (a big mite) start my own Computer & Computer Part supply business.

ouch, im sorry to hear man.. that really bites.. did they claim bankruptcy (Sp.) if they didn't, you could always go for unfair dismissall heh, probably not much consolation tho.. =(

Since Alpha PCs is gone Ive been purchasing from www.auspcmarket.com.au good prices just gotta use credit card or as I do a Bank deposit. Comes from Sydney takes roughly 2 days from the day u deposit money.
