Steam has gone public

For those of you that have tried steam a while back, do not be put off by your prior experiences - this new client is a LOT better.

well, once they friggin release v1.6 ill get it. they were spose to release it quarter 1 of this year... a tiny delay i see. then they say quarter 2 with condition zero. quarter 2 is over
now they jsut say wait till condition zero

I would rather something later and finished then early an not finished

i tryed to play it wen it first came out on 56gay but i counldt after hours and hours of trying and stuff

It'll just take you ages to download it - and in game it downloads dynamicly - so the "first time" you do anything, it will download that particular event. Once this is done playing it will be no different to playing 1.5

what is steam? is it just a new patch? or does it do something different. it says 'Games like Half-Life, Counter-Strike, and Counter-Strike Condition Zero are all being made available through Steam.' but if cs1.6 isnt out, how do i get it early??

this isnt the right post to say that man... but i screenshotted it in DC...

I downloaded steam, and tried to play on the cs 1.6 server, but it just sits on the 'preparing to play counter strike' window, and doesn't move from there (see attachment).

what are your thoughts?

better than mine... every time i open steam up now it says steam has caused and illegal operation or something of that sort...
