I seem to remember reading somewhere that xp whoring (or planting/defusing - rescuing while alone on map) was frowned upon.... Well, check out Alvin's event history (yup, that's right, the guy with 6000 points!)

Stats whoring in MO, is sitting in a corner invisible and waiting an entire round waiting for a cheap kill. Or letting the T's plant the bomb, then killing them for the defuse XP, even tho he could have killed him earlier.

its gaining exp, not stats whoring as you call it. The t who planted the bomb should have had a thura look around before sttling down and planting anyway.

Err no...
T's want the bomb down quickly, but more to the point what milenko is saying is, the CT will stay out of site of the T until he plants the bomb then goes and kills the T then defuses the bomb, rather than kill the T (which he could have tried) before he planted. I mean dont tell me you wait till they plant before you kill em? (didnt think so)
And its not gaining exp (or does defusing give you exp in wc3 mod?) it IS stat whoring, personally I think Alvin (and the person helping him/her) are complete tools.
Although I really dont care about stats and his stats are hidden so it doesnt matter.

I don't mind if you reset my stats, or ban me, but just to clear this up I wasn't doing it to get exp or stat whoring.
I was just showing my friend who does care about stats, that it can be done and exploited.
Also, attempting defuse doesn't give u exp.
And I didn't need to be only with another person at the server, I was trying it when the server was full as well as when I was with my friend.

Dude you have 498 attempts (as of 17/07/03) - like honestly you dont need to do it that many times to prove a point. Wheather it gives you exp or not its still lame.
Although you do have your stats hidden so it doesnt affect those that do enjoy their stats.
So while what your doing isn't really right its not affecting anyone stats wise.

Yeah, I realise that 500 attempts is alot to prove a point, but at the time I didn't know how many times I had attemped to defuse.
Apparently it was attempting defuse about 100+ times per bomb planting, which I wouldn't have imagined at the time.
I'm not saying it's not wrong, just that I wasn't doing it to stat whore or exp whore as you guys put it.
