i have a brand new mic for my pc and it works when i use the half-life voice setup program but it doesn't seem to register there is a mic when i am in the game. please help me to figure out why it won't work as i would love to use voice in game to help with better strategic playing.

Have you set a key to press when you use it. Have you even been pressing a key?.
Not to sure but i think the default is h or k?
