Ye but all that stuff I can do on my nice new computer. I want the old one for the classic dos games that do not run well or run with sound on my new comp. Don't get that how come some dos games run slow as on my comp with Windows XP. Compatibility issue huh? Fkn windows get Bill Gates in here now.

They run slow, cause they were designed in a time perid where the speeds that CPU's reach today were thought impossible.
This means they don't scale properly and the end result is the same as if u were to load quake 3 onto a 486, VERY SLOW.
U can overcome this on modern computers by getting a program off the net that maxes out ur CPU, but it just shaves life off it so a small comp like a P-233 is good, cause it can run ALL older games that now refuse to run
Another good use, for all u adsl users, throw in another network card, install smoothwall/ipcop on it and you can have very cheap and very good firewall/router (will keep all the script kiddies at bay anyway). If you want to go nuts and put linux on, u should be able to setup the above (tech knowledge required) as well as your own mail servers, and web servers and so forth. It'll only be able to handle low volumes, but hey how many users have most ppl got at their house. So old they may be, useless, not quite yet.
well you can build you own if you go buy the motherboard from the manufacturer. Last I heard they wanted $299ex tax for it which didnt include the 5gig hard drive or the stainless steel case. Runs win98se fine and plays MP3's. All runs off 5 volts so put one in your car and have mp3. Run a web browser and terminal service to a server off it. Get a PC104 PCMCIA adaptor for it and use it as a wireless gateway with a copy of smoothwall or IPCOP on it.

more than "50 i am guessing yet a graphics card on its own does nothing, you mob need to learn the value of money a little more so you can actually fit into the real world properly, or just stay in yer dungeon, i really dont care either way, if you want it post an amount you are willing to pay rather than a statement like "i wouldnt touch that with a barge pole" or "why would you want one of those" these are trade threads not discussion threads, if ya wanna talk about it post a new topic in media centre or something!!!
