It may have been "on the disk", but it was not part of the game. I know this because when I bought the DLC for PC, it downloaded it and installed it seperately. Unless the code to flick the switch was 600MB or so. Not that I would have cared eitherway. Are you saying EA doesn't have the right to charge for extra con…
I agree there were some consistance errors in the endings, regarding which characters appeared where... but then again, the token sex scene contained a character that died three chapters earlier in my game play through, so either Shepard is a necromancing necrophilliac, or the game generally suffers from some consis…
I seriously don't get people's objections to the endings... what am I missing? [hide=Spoiler] People are claiming it basically nullifies all the choices they made in the game up to that point... I call bullshit. Every choice you made was still important. They just pale in comparision to that last choice you have to …
I am on my second complete play through now. I have to say it is shocking how unpolished that starting block is compared to the rest of the game. It really is the weakest point of the game. And I still don't understand people's objections to the endings. I thought they were fantastic. But horses for courses I guess.
I think they could have easily made E or Q activate keys. I can count the number of times I actually used them to control my squad on one hand (though I don't know what function they serves in multiplayer).
Though I have to admit I would have much prefered a seperate key for activating objects. The space for all movement and cover works when you get used to it, but the activation is a tad annoying as the activation area is usually a tiny spot on a huge cover surface.
I was really annoyed with the SPACE issue as well, until a certain fight that required an insane amount of movement. It burnt the cover system controls in to my mind, and after that I actually found it to work quite well. Takes a hell of a lot to get used to though.
I seriously don't know why people are so annoyed at the endings. I have seen all three (and lets be honest, there really are only two... it is just one has a twist). There are all fine. They are suitably epic for sure. They leave alot of questions unanswered, but Bioware will release DLC and maybe even new Mass Effe…
[Attachment 8883]The first two instalments of the Mass Effect series are widely considered to be some of the best games ever made. Certainly they rank among the greatest RPGs. With the outstanding quality of their story telling, and their stunning audio and visuals, they set the bar so high for the third instalment …
Quote from Milenko;405786: Ive never felt so emotionally engaged with game characters ever. It seems silly, but I can't agree more. There have been some moments in the game where I have had that sickening sinking feeling in my stomach. It is so fucking emotional at times. I am forcing myself to play through and deal…
That email from Origin about the funds? Look closer. I got it too. It is a scam. At least the one I got was. It was incredibly well forged (even the order number was in the correct format). Beyond this, ME3 is absolutely amazing. I am only part way through (how have you played through 2 times? :o), but I have loved …
As a ROM-hacker from back in the day (get off my lawn), and an old-skool Nintendo fanboi, I am a huge fan of everything Mario. So you can imagine the scale of my *squeee* when someone pointed me to this Mario remake featuring... portal guns! Stabyourself.net - Mari0 It plays remarkably well, and really does 'feel' l…
[Attachment 8689]Skyrim is the latest installment in the Elder Scrolls franchise, and after over 40 hours of play, we finally feel we have seen enough of the game to justify a balanced review. While it received almost universal praise from critics in early reviews, Skyrim is not a game without issues. But whatever i…
You seem to have such high expectations of games, it is likely you will always be disappointed :P I was actually pretty impressed by the story. At its core it is clearly a Fallout clone, which isn't suprising given it is published by Bethesda, but it actually has a few unique and quite interesting elements. Of cours…
I love the fact we have reached the point in computer history where a game tweak thread contains a sentence "If your processor has few cores..." Pretty amazing looking game though. I wasn't expecting such a cinematic intro either.
I have certainly had my mental perception of the world change after getting deep in to a game for a long period, but can't say I have ever had visual hallucinations. It we seem to me you would need a pre-existing disorder of some sort for that to happen (or a lot of LSD).
So yeah... I got to Hong Kong. Starting to see where you guys are coming from with regards to voice acting. It is like they ran out of money, so the programmers (who are apparently all white guys whose only exposure to asians is through racial sterotypes) had to voice it themselves.
