Command to unlock dual core support? Doubles TF2 fps!

I have a Centrino Duo. I set mine at 2 and my game froze. I set it to 1 and got a nice increase, up to around 90. But the Chucker TF2 Tweaks guy, said he put his a -1. what is that setting for?
