mat_queue_mode 2
My machine used to drop to 50fps during heated TF2 battles, and now it never drops under 100 under any circumstance I can throw at it.
I have everything maxed, 16QSAA or whatever it is, 16 ani filtering, 1600x1200, very high texture setting... incredible.
I recommend you all enable this if you have a multiple core CPU!

yep, doesnt work for AMD dual cores - mine just froze until i took it out
works really well, but it doesnt save it in the config after restarting the game
Save it in your autoexec.cfg file in your cfg file in the TF2 directory.
It seems many people find that TF2 crashes when trying to change graphics settings or minimising+maximising with queue mode set to 2.
That said, if you don't change your graphics settings or minimise, it'd probably still worth using for the frames boost!
In your TF2 launch options, you can have "+mat_queue_mode 2" instead of throwing it into an autoexec too, if you prefer that.
so anyone seen any of these for AMD duel core?
I have a Centrino Duo. I set mine at 2 and my game froze. I set it to 1 and got a nice increase, up to around 90. But the Chucker TF2 Tweaks guy, said he put his a -1. what is that setting for?

yup it is, but I'd forgotten about this tweak and with my new 24" monitor its time to try it out!
