  • Building Windows 8

A revolution in desktop UI, it seems. It will surely change the perception that if you want something "easy" you should have a Mac - because this, from a usability perspective, blows conventional OS interaction processes out of the water. With the acclaim of the Windows Phone UI as well as the move towards touch and gesture based computing, this direction does make sense.

hmm.. carefully avoided showing games in that setup. given there's still crap loads that crash on alt+tab, wonder what this is going to do to them...

They're still playing catch up with Android and Mac OSX 10.6x. Though with the boundaries between web and fat clients now a thing of the past it will be really interesting future.

Games that crash on alt tabe are no fault other than the people who write them. The fact that Rift flashes when you are under attack and blinks yellow when you have recieved a wisper whilst alt tabbed is some reason behind this.

didn't say it was anyone other than the devs at fault. Just saying this is probably going to exacerbate the problem.

It looks a bit like Windows Media Center. Not really excited by that video though. Will have to see more.
