Let me make a case for. A few days ago I accidentally ran over the DC side of the ability adaptor for a Toshiba Satellite Professional, with the vacuum cleaner. This shredded half of the cable & it wasn't plugged in at the time. I even have since replaced it with a replacement offer but wondered if I may salvage the previous one by cutting out the bit that was shredded & remaking the connection inside the "brick" style housing. However there are no screws. Anyone grasp if there is a method for doing this without mangling the plastic case beyond safe & sensible use? TIA.
