I can see that, however one is a MX and the other is G.

The MX518 is regarded as the best gaming mouse out there, although the G500 could well take this crown, however the bagn for buck is with the 518.

Using the new model mx518 today for work instead of the usual MSIE3.0, it feels a lot smoother (two large pads like the G-series mice) and there's less play in the buttons compared to the old mx518 (still using the old model at home). One thing I don't like is that the DPI buttons are more raised than the old ones, which will probably mean some accidental pressings of them (if they're set to be used).

Didn't like the G500, got rid of it. Had too much wank, awkward mouse wheel, buttons were just stupid, top of mouse skin surface probably wouldn't last three months and movement didn't feel 'right'.

G400, however, looks quite good. Will find an excuse to buy one at some stage. :p
