So given Vettel has the wood on Webber if he doesn't give Webber the pole or if Webber doesn't go and get pole its all over.

If Vettel wins the race he wins the championship, but Alonso must have finished 5th or worse. If Webber wins the race he wins the championship, but Alonso must have finished 3rd or worse.

As Dan said today, what happens if on the last lap it's Vettel > Webber > Alonso? Vettel can't win the championship, Alonso would. So would Vettel give it to Webber? Probably not.

Although in the greatest irony to grab Mark's career, tomorrow could be his day of ultimate luck. Vettel and Alonso are both on old, re-worked engines. There's always the chance both of them will go pop during the race.
