Sport on Television ? Review of the anti-siphoning scheme | Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy

Good to see that there is an "In Full" clause which means no more cutting to the news when the cricket is still on and no more 1hr delay becuse your state doesn't have daylight savings.

The government is spending tax dollars on rulings on sport shown on TV?

Am I the only one who thinks this is totally fucked?

        Ridiculous.

No whats fucked is commerical/paytv channels buying rights to sports they have zero intention of showing just to screw their competitors.
Who suffers because of this cock blocking? the aussie public.

If sport on FTA is still going to be riddled with commercials, I'd prefer it all move to a pay TV provider anyway.

Wrong, here are no channels that do pay per view only Box Office and Main Event which are not channels.
