    R14 Formula 1 - Singapore Grand Prix

Vettel can clinch the title here and hes in a very good position with pole.
    Webber 2nd followed by Button.

Here’s the maths on Vettel becoming champion in Singapore- James Allen on F1 – The official website
    If Vettel wins:
Alonso needs to be off the podium
    AND
Webber/Button finish no higher than 3rd
    Hamilton is automatically eliminated
(This scenario happened in Australia and Spain this year)

    If Vettel is 2nd:
Alonso needs to be no higher than 8th
    AND
Webber/Button need to be no higher than 5th
    AND
Hamilton must not finish ahead of him
(This scenario has not happened at all this season)

    If Vettel is 3rd:
Alonso needs to be no higher than 9th
    AND
Webber/Button need to be no higher than 7th
    AND
Hamilton must not finish ahead of him
(This scenario has not happened at all this season)

    If Vettel is 4th:
The title cannot be decided in Singapore

best start i have seen webber do yet. how good will he be when he nails starts, going from 2nd to 4th then 5th after a wing clip then to 3rd he just makes it hard for himself.

and fucking schumacher he crashes out every time i bet on him for top 10. grrr.

Singapore track looks great , might have to go there in septembers instead of februarys

The race was ok. There were a few good moves, while tyre degradation and strategy kept things interesting until the end. It was good seeing Mark and Hamilton finish where they did after poor starts.

          PS. Button is awesome.

PPS. I'm totally down for a Singapore trip either 2012 or 2013.

I thought I'd merge the threads into one for the whole season so qual/result lookup is easier, and because we don't get a heap of replies in each race thread anyway.

Great win by Button.. McLaren finally find some performance and beat Redbull fair and square... but far far to late.
                    Vettel wins the WC.

Buttons win gave me 2 from 2 for my days motorsport's betting with Tander winning the Bathurst 1000 (which was heaps more entertaining), helped recoup some of my losses from the Rugby.

                          Bring on Korea next week.

I was sure Button would get pole, Hamilton did a great lap and Vettel extremely close to edging him out.

Hopefully its a McLaren 1-2 after lap 1 to make it interesting.
