Here's how you can change your Origin username

Do not contact Origin support, they cannot. Go direct to EA support's live chat: http://support.ea.com/app/chat/livechat_landing

Give them your account e-mail and DOB and request to change it. The conversation will hopefully go something like this, but will depend on the person serving you:

Deepak T: Hi, my name is Deepak T. How may I help you?
Me: Hi there, my name is Jamie ******, **/06/1984, Origin account is *****@*********.com - your Battlefield 3 Community Manager directed me here to change my Origin username.
Deepak T: Okay.
Deepak T: Hi Jamie.
Deepak T: We are no longer changing EA master id.
Deepak T: But if your id contains your first or last name.
Deepak T: Or date of birth.
Deepak T: Does it contains your first name?
Me: Could I just say it does?
Deepak T: Sure.
Deepak T: But It is one time exception you will not be able to change again.

Nothing unfortunately. I wanted it changed to reccy but it's taken - I think by a really old EA account of mine that I can't remember the password for.
