    Sony patents stereoscopic split-screen multiplayer

You could both be watching the same screen, but seeing something entirely different. Well, Sony have submitted a patent to do just that.

The 3.4-inch, 480 x 854 screen has instantly become the rumored tech to be featured in Nintendo's next iteration of the DS.

On the iPhone forefront, some patent-snooping has turned up some very interesting applications from Apple. It seems they're considering motion sensing, rumble, dual screen and button add-ons for the iPhone, iPod and indeed iPad. IntoMobile discovered the patent made public yesterday, and would be sure to alleviate the frustration many have with using a touch screen exclusively for mobile gaming.

MotoGP to introduce head tracking, 3D support

I'm all for increased entertainment immersion, and I have a particular interest in getting accurate drives, rides or flights out of their respective games. MotoGP lead designer Greg Bryant seems to agree, and has spoken to CVG about the title's future plans. "We haven't looked into Natal yet for MotoGP 09/10, but we're definitely going to be looking into it for MGP 10/11 because I personally think the future for that application is through head tracking in racing games"......
