Call of Duty: Black Ops looks to be a pretty big deal. What we're in store for is the awesomeness of Modern Warfare 2 gameplay, but with modding options and support for dedicated servers. Not only that, but now power has been put in the players hands to decide exactly how they level up, by purchasing specific perks with their frag-earned in-game cash. ...

I think most of the reader base here at GU really enjoyed Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer gameplay, if only for a short time. Of course as we've discussed to death, the problem wasn't the game, rather the peer-to-peer match-making system and segmentation of the community with $15 map packs. That's why it's a delight to know that the next iteration of the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops, looks to be just as fun and isn't giving dedicated server support the cold shoulder.
