Playdead's brilliant indie platformer, Limbo, has finally reached the Mac. It hasn't reached Steam on the Mac yet however, so if you were looking forward to utilising SteamPlay you will have to wait another three weeks. If you can't wait for January 13, you can find the 83MB game on the Mac App Store for $10....

If you haven't played Limbo on Xbox 360, PS3 or PC yet you're either crazy or don't own any of those platforms. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, Dead Space, Bioshock, Plants vs. Zombies, Resident Evil 5, F.E.A.R. 3, Limbo, Dead Island and many more creepy and gruesome PC games are now on sale at Steam in their Halloween sale. We may not pay much attention to the famous annual holiday in Australia, but I'm sure some of you will make use of the savings....

Head on over to the PlayStation or Steam stores to pick up your copy of the highly acclaimed Limbo for a tenner. If you're feeling awfully generous, support indie games development and buy it on both! "Limbo is as close to perfect at what it does as a game can get" say Destructoid, while GiantBomb keep it blunt with "The game is a masterpiece."

Yesterday we reported that Limbo was heading to the PlayStation 3. Now we're pleased to confirm that not only is it hitting the PSN, but Steam on the PC as well. It'll be making its way onto Microsoft's competitor console in July, and with any luck we'll see it on Steam at the same time - but we'll have some more information next week, hopefully with some concrete dates for you....

It looks like the highest grossing Xbox Live Arcade title for 2010, Playdead's critically acclaimed Limbo, might well be headed to the PlayStation 3. Gematsu are reporting that a Korean Game Rating Board classification filed on June 29 lists the game as 15+, with Sony Computer Entertainment Korea as the publisher. Playdead has been contacted for comment....

I've been ranting about this extremely intriguing indie platformer on the forums for a little while now, and today it sees its Xbox 360 Arcade release, at 1200 MS points. At this point no plans to release it on other platforms have been announced, although you can't help but feel that not releasing it for Android and the iPhone would be a crying shame.
