in NewsThanks for the memories, GamePro
I fondly remember laying on my bedroom floor reading the latest edition of GamePro, writing a list in my notebook - an actual one, made of paper - a detailed list of which games from the issue I wanted to purchase or rent for my Super Nintendo. Sadly, GamePro is the latest gaming magazine casualty of the new millennia. Originally launching in 1989 the GamePro name enjoyed much success during 90s, but with shrinking interest in print publications its time is up, starting with the closure of its webs... -

in NintendoOcarina of Time seen on the Nintendo 3DS
There's no English subtitles or dialog here, but it should get Zelda fans excited no less. It's footage of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time being played on Nintendo's 3DS. Yes, in 3D. Sure, you can't see it in 3D, which makes things a little blurry - but that's what your imagination is for. The video mightn't be around for long, as it's believed Nintendo has banned 3DS gameplay videos from being shot at its events, so have a quick look before it's too late.... -

in NintendoNintendo reveal 3DS, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Mario Kart
Nintendo are making the most of the E3 2010 expo in LA, revealing everything but Miamoto's kitchen sink - which is probably quite extravagant. The upcoming 3D handheld, the 3DS, sports a 3.5 inch widescreen DS Lite-sized touch screen, four buttons, a D-Pad, a motion sensor, a gyro sensor and a real analogue stick.... -

in NintendoCan we expect another GoldenEye 007?
Who remembers GoldenEye 007 for the Nintendo 64? Or should that statement read 'who doesn't remember it?' I'll keep this concise, and I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but Activision have just registered "goldeneyegame.com". Make of that what you will. -

in NintendoNintendo, Apple ramp-up mobile gaming
Nintendo's recently revealed 3DS hand-held is set to feature a 3D screen - sans the silly glasses. The device will also feature a "3D control stick", presumably an analogue stick. Today sharp released a slew of details regarding a new technology, which is a 3D touchscreen LCD, switchable between 2D and 3D modes. The 3.4-inch, 480 x 854 screen has instantly become the rumored tech to be featured in Nintendo's next iteration of the DS.
On the iPhone forefront, some patent-snooping has turned up some very interesting applications from Apple. It seems they're considering motion sensing, rumble, dual screen and button add-ons for the iPhone, iPod and indeed iPad. IntoMobile discovered the patent made public yesterday, and would be sure to alleviate the frustration many have with using a touch screen exclusively for mobile gaming. -
